FYI: In general, it is legal to send human remains ashes in the mail, but there are certain regulations that need to be followed. The United States Postal Service (USPS) allows the mailing of cremated remains as long as they are properly packaged and labeled. The packaging must be sturdy and sift-proof, and the outer container must be marked with the words “Cremated Remains” and the name and address of the recipient and sender.
